LumenDraft Scene-Loom Privacy

Effective date: September 23, 2026 Updated: September 23, 2026 Support: lanterndesk@lumendraft.app

What this scene loom keeps local

LumenDraft is a Graphics & Design iPhone writing workbench. You capture a scene or a spoken note, shape it into scene copy, an outline, or a polished draft, and review differences before you replace your words. Drafts, covers, voice material, and tone presets stay in on-device SwiftData and UserDefaults. There is no LumenDraft account and no account-backed cloud sync of your desk.

Materials that may sit on this phone

While you work, this device may hold:

  • Draft text, titles, outlines, tags, mood palette notes, and revision history you create
  • Scene stills you capture or pick for vision writing, plus share-card or long-image exports you save
  • Spoken recordings and transcripts produced for the Voice loom
  • Local preferences (tone preset, rewrite intensity, share style, haptics, AI outbound consent flag)

Removing the app deletes that on-device desk from LumenDraft. We cannot restore wiped local drafts from our servers.

Permissions, only when a control needs them

  • Camera — capture scenes and cover photos for vision writing and draft imagery
  • Photo Library (add) — save finished long images or share cards when you ask
  • PhotosPicker — pick an existing still without a full photo-library read entitlement
  • Microphone — record spoken ideas, read-aloud comparison, and optional short ambient samples
  • Speech recognition — Apple's Speech framework turns recordings into text. On this tip, LumenDraft sets requiresOnDeviceRecognition = false, so transcription may use Apple's speech services rather than a forced on-device-only path

This reviewed tip does not request App Tracking Transparency and does not include a third-party advertising attribution SDK (no Adjust / ATT coordinator in Sources). Deny camera, photos-add, mic, or speech and you can still keep local drafts and type without attaching media.

Free desk — no Apple purchases on this tip

This tip ships without in-app purchases. StoreKit product catalogs, Wick ledgers, and purchase shelves were removed so Lantern Co-create and local desk tools are free. There is no Restore Purchases control because nothing is sold inside LumenDraft on this tip.

No tracking surface on this tip

Reviewed Sources have no App Tracking Transparency prompt, no Measurement entry, and no advertising attribution SDK. The in-app Privacy & permissions checklist states Advertising Data / Device ID are not collected for tracking and that this release does not present an ATT prompt. LumenDraft does not display third-party ads inside the product on this tip.

Optional DeepSeek outbound (Flame notice)

Lantern Co-create, Look & speak / vision scene writing, and Voice loom cleanup that need the cloud leave this device only after the in-app Flame outbound notice. You light the wick metaphor in that sheet and choose Continue with consent. Opening the app or merely browsing drafts is not consent. Choosing Keep it on paper — don’t send out leaves the local desk intact and does not fake a successful generation.

When allowed, LumenDraft may send DeepSeek (api.deepseek.com, model deepseek-v4-flash-vision-exp, fallback deepseek-chat) only the packed fields for that turn — for example selected draft text or instructions, a scene image you attached, or a transcript already on the device. LumenDraft does not send your Apple ID, contacts, precise location, or face biometrics. DeepSeek's processing of those fields is also governed by DeepSeek's own privacy policy.

Consent is stored on-device as aiOutboundConsentGranted. My Lantern → Privacy & permissions shows whether outbound is authorized. This tip does not ship a one-tap revoke switch; uninstalling LumenDraft clears the local consent flag and desk store. Contact lanterndesk@lumendraft.app if you need help stopping further outbound use after you previously agreed. Local drafting, camera, PhotosPicker, and mic capture remain available without outbound AI.

Other network use

Besides optional DeepSeek after consent:

  • Published Privacy / Terms / Support pages load over HTTPS from https://lumen-lantern.vacant-punchcard.pages.dev/
  • There is no LumenDraft login and no Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics import on this tip

Offline, you can still open and edit drafts already on the device.

Assistance boundary

LumenDraft is a creative writing aid for a general audience. Output is assistance, not professional legal, medical, or financial advice, and not a Kids Category experience.

Updates and contact
