Accepting the lantern desk
These Terms of Use govern your use of the LumenDraft iPhone app ("LumenDraft"). By downloading or using LumenDraft you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The desk you keep
LumenDraft is a local-first creative writing workbench. You may create blank drafts, turn photos into scene copy, dictate spoken notes, run optional Lantern Co-create after consent, compare variants, and export share cards. Content you create remains under your responsibility. LumenDraft does not claim ownership of your drafts.
No account
LumenDraft does not require registration or sign-in. There is no LumenDraft cloud account to delete. Deleting the app removes on-device drafts and preferences from this installation.
Free tip — no Wick purchases
This tip is free. There are no consumable Wicks, StoreKit shelves, or in-app paid unlocks. Lantern Co-create that needs the cloud still requires the Flame outbound notice, but it does not spend a purchase balance.
Optional AI generation
Some features send selected text, images, or transcripts to DeepSeek only after you complete the Flame outbound notice and choose Continue with consent. You authorize LumenDraft to send that turn's packed fields solely to provide the requested function. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you must review Diff / variants before replacing your words. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, or others' personal data you are not allowed to process. Declining with Keep it on paper — don’t send out keeps generation local-only for that attempt.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse LumenDraft, attempt to disrupt network services, reverse engineer beyond applicable law, or use the app for professional advice domains it does not certify (legal, medical, financial).
Intellectual property
LumenDraft, its branding, and non-user interface assets are owned by the publisher. Your drafts stay yours. Third-party models (DeepSeek) and Apple services remain under their respective terms.
Disclaimer and limitation
LumenDraft is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law. To the maximum extent permitted, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from drafts, AI suggestions, or reliance on generated text. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction still apply.
